Disney has been a part of my childhood through movies and first visiting the theme parks at age 10, and is now a huge part of our lives as our favorite vacation spot to date. My husband and I are basically fulfilling our adolescent dream of going to Disney World regularly and making it a reality for our three kiddos. We both grew up in large families without the luxury of family vacations. Going to Disney World at age 10 was a dream come true, that I saw as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Who knew I’d marry a Disney-lover and get to plan super fun vacations with my best friend for the rest of my life. Ok, now with all of the mushy stuff aside…
We have three kids and have traveled to Disney World in just about every stage from me being eight months pregnant (yes, I was huge!), to two kids under two, to a nine month old, five year old, and seven year old. We’ve been to Disney twice in one year, always stay at Disney Deluxe Resorts, and have been to every Disney Park. I love all things organization (spreadsheets, home organization, planners, etc.) and a lot of my Disney planning activities are on the verge of OCD. I make itineraries in Google spreadsheets for our vacation down to the hour, estimate spending per day, and always try to find the most cost-effective means to maximize our vacation time while at Disney World.
In this blog I hope to share with you some of the processes I’ve created to streamlining our Disney planning and vacationing. I’ve spent many years reading countless articles on the “best” ways to do Disney, have experienced trial and error over our trips to Disney, and have found what works for our family. As my family grows, my kids get older, and our needs change, I envision this blog growing simultaneously with adding tips and information for you to have the best Disney vacation possible.
